In the gentle hush before sunrise, St Paul's Gate reveals its centuries-old grandeur differently. Ancient stones glow under ornate lamps, while the first whispers of dawn paint the sky in cool, ethereal hues - a perfect balance of warmth and morning mystery.

These pre-dawn moments belong to a select few: diligent street sweepers, late-night revelers finding their way home, and, of course, the ever-present Greek cats who've appointed themselves guardians of these medieval walls. Their quiet presence adds to the timeless atmosphere that only these early hours can create.

While waiting for the perfect light to capture my envisioned composition, I explored the surrounding passages. Each corner held promises of new perspectives, as if the old town itself was slowly sharing its secrets in the growing light.

There's something truly magical about witnessing Rhodes awaken. The gradual shift of colors across the horizon, the slow symphony of a city coming to life - even after years of dawn shoots, these moments never lose their power to enchant.
